Tradition with a twist – Sunday lunch, Italian style
ITALY meets England at DG x Per Tutti with their roast with a twist – back by popular demand.
The Sunday regular temporarily disappeared when Don Giovanni took over the kitchens at the Liverpool Road eatery a month ago, but Manchester’s oldest independent Italian have decided to bring it back before their winter pop-up comes to an end.
Great news – Per Tutti’s heavenly Sunday tradition was a firm favourite with us! And there are three roasts on the menu, so there’s plenty to whet your appetite. Choose from chicken, pork or lamb, and max out on Mediterranean flavours with rosemary-herbed gravy – all dished up alongside a Yorkshire pudding, of course!
The sage, onion and apricot-stuffed chicken comes with roast potatoes, honey-glazed carrots and parsnips, creamed peas and bread sauce; the Italian roast porchetta has roasties and apple sauce – plus peppers, fennel, red onion and pancetta, and the slow-roasted shoulder of lamb is served with creamed peas and pancetta, carrot and swede purée, and fresh mint sauce.
Don’t know about you, but we’re going to have trouble deciding which to order…
