The taxis expect to turn thousands of heads throughout summer
Knowsley Safari has taken over a number of taxis in Liverpool, wrapping them with tiger and giraffe prints. The striking cabs will drive over 3,000 passengers a month within a ten-mile radius of Liverpool city centre and, from 1 August, the first ten passengers to hire each of the three branded cars will receive a free Knowsley Safari summer pass.
As a nod to the Safari’s Amur tigers, giraffes, African lions and white rhino, the taxis expect to turn heads of thousands of pedestrians, commuters and passengers daily, through the busy summer months and until the end of the year.
Devised by Media Agency Group, this is the attraction’s debut taxi marketing campaign and comes soon after the arrival of the new Head of Marketing and Sales, Helena Berry.
Head of Marketing and Sales Helena Berry says: “The Safari-branded cabs are real head turners, they’re a fun addition to Liverpool city centre and initially we hope they’ll encourage people to come and visit Camp Knowsley, our bushcraft activation taking place over the summer holidays, with continued momentum after that into autumn and winter.”
Between 4-31 August, Knowsley Safari will be transformed into ‘Camp Knowsley’, encouraging young guests (aged 4-10) to roll up their sleeves and try a variety of survival-themed activities including shelter building, fire lighting and stone age tool crafting. Those feeling brave can even try eating bugs.
If you’re not lucky enough to be given a free summer pass in one of the taxis, they’re available for £199 for a family of four, with unlimited admissions between now and 7 September 2025.
