SAM'S Chop House has pulled off a coup with their latest wine-matching dinner on 26 February. Ralph Hochar is visiting from The Lebanon to talk about his family's renowned Chateau Musar wines from the Bekaa Valley, fifteen miles north of Beirut.

Sam's Chophouse Manchester Exterior With TablesThe dinner will be hosted by Chop House sommelier George Bergier (who has tried every Chateau Musar vintage back to 1985). He'll take you through a guided tasting of these superb wines while you enjoy four courses of fine Chop House food.

Ralph, son of Gaston Hochar, will be the guest speaker. His family have been making wines in the Bekaa Valley since 1930, and despite the challenges of this unsettled region, have only lost two vintages in the last 50 years.

Sam's Chophouse Manchester Restaurant With Flowers and NapkinsThe menu for the evening hasn't been released yet but expect to be impressed. At their last wine dinner, guests were treated to delights such as pan-seared cod cheeks and chorizo with piri piri oil and micro fennel, and port poached pear with sweet lemon and black olive cookie.

Tickets cost £50 per person for four courses and wine. The event takes place on 26 February from 7pm at Sam's Chop House, off Cross Street. Book now by calling 0161 834 3210 or email sams@vicchopco.com
