FINDING your gift-buying hampered this Christmas? Well, hold that thought, because maybe our friends over at The Pasta Factory have the answer. The team behind Manchester’s first authentic ‘pastificio’ know a thing or two about bringing happiness through food, so trust them to come up with an idea for the ‘perfetto’ present this festive season.
Their Christmas hampers are on sale now – you can pick one up off the shelf at the Shudehill outlet or pre-order a bespoke version, tailored especially for that special person. Containing treats to please the foodie in your life, you can choose between soft drinks and white or red wine and from different types of nibbles and pasta.
The Pasta Factory’s hampers are great for budding and accomplished chefs alike, with two bags of their own handcrafted pasta, a sachet of sauce mix, Parmegano vegan Parmesan and full recipe instructions to help you rustle up Pasta alla Puttanesca round your own ‘casa’.
Pick from The Pasta Factory’s own recipe 100% pure, organic and raw dried pasta, processed using a traditional method of slow drying at low temperature – our favourites are the Bucatini long hollow spaghetti type, the Mafaldine Nero squid ink version and the Trottole Viola beetroot shapes.
The hampers also include Italian snacks like curly breadsticks Taralli or oblong-shaped crunchy almond-flavoured Cantucci, a bottle or Limoncello and Lupo house blend coffee, all stacked in a colander then packaged, individually labelled and tied up in a red and white bow. What’s more, £1 from each sale will be donated to homeless charity Big Change Mcr.
