The celebrity chef and local restaurateur has transformed one of the arena’s premium offerings into a Mediterranean-inspired party retreat
The premium offerings at the UK’s newest and largest music-first live entertainment arena, Co-op Live, continue to evolve with the latest revamp, Hideaway; a Mediterranean-inspired party retreat with a menu curated by celebrity chef Simon Rimmer.
A hidden gem for music lovers offering the ultimate pre and post-show parties, Hideaway will be the last club open in the venue on event nights.
Combining exceptional dining, live entertainment, and luxurious surroundings with a party atmosphere, Hideaway replaces the former Decibel Lounge, making it the only premium membership still available at the arena with all other experiences having been completely sold out.
Members of Hideaway can enjoy tickets to the venue’s most coveted seating for all publicly ticketed events in section 103, as well as entry to Hideaway before and after shows where guests can delight in a Mediterranean street food with a twist, featuring kebabs and small plates like buffalo halloumi and chicken kofta bites.
To complement the dining experience, Hideaway will offer expertly crafted Moët & Chandon champagne and Hennessy Cognac cocktails that perfectly pair with the flavours and theatre of the menu. Early members will also receive a personalised liquor locker with a bottle of Hennessy Paradis or Armand De Brignac included to celebrate their membership.
Speaking on the redesign and thought-process behind the menu, Simon Rimmer said: “I was asked if I would be willing to get involved and I said yes, as long as I could do a bit of a wash and brush up on the interior. The interior is based around that feeling that you could be in a bar in Morocco, or Ibiza, or somewhere in the Mediterranean, and the food is reflective of that.
“It’s really nice, simple food. But the big thing we have going for us is we’re also open after the gig where we’re serving loaded fries and kebabs, which, I don’t know about you, but when I’ve been to a gig and had a few beers, I want loaded fries and a kebab.”
Sam Piccione III, OVG International President of Sales, said: “The redesign of Hideaway marks a significant moment in our continued journey to deliver unrivalled premium experiences at Co-op Live.
“With Simon Rimmer’s involvement, we are taking things to the next level – creating a destination designed for music lovers, combining great music with outstanding food, cocktails and champagne in a stylish party atmosphere that makes experiencing live music at Co-op Live unforgettable.”
With only 100 memberships available, the newly designed Hideaway is already proving popular and expected to sell out fast.
