New menu at The Woodthorpe

The Woodthorpe is the former family home of Sir Edward Holt. It’s now one of the most impressive Holt’s pubs there is and we’re known for our historical hostelries. Old Edward obviously liked his creature comforts. Now you can enjoy comforts of the culinary kind with our impressive new menu.

Bring the kids – children are welcome in the pub until 8pm and as we’re just over the road from Heaton Park, it’s the perfect place for lunch or dinner as part of your day out. The Woodthorpe was a family home and we love to see all generations tucking in to our new dishes together.

Keep it easy with toasted sandwiches and wraps or sit down to the full monty. We have popular starters like lamb koftas and cheddar topped garlic and herb baguettes whilst our pub classics are proper traditional pub food – done right.

From our signature Joseph Holt’s beer battered cod and chips to our comforting cheese and onion pie, every dish is a winner. You’ll also find steaks and hanging kebabs from our grill menu and fabulous burgers like buttermilk chicken burgers and beetroot, red pepper and quinoa burgers as well as straight up beefburgers.

Puddings are always pleasers and our new seasonal dessert menu lives up to that with white chocolate and gingerbread cheesecake and a vegan (not that you could tell) apple and almond tart with ice cream just two of the autumnal comforts available.
