There is so much to do, it’s hard to fit everything into just one day. Enjoy a walk in the countryside then enjoy a drink in the Bowland Beer Hall. We have 42 hand pulls and 24 cask beers plus cans, bottles, ciders and softs as well as some tasty beer hall food.
Make sure you call in to the Bowland Food Hall and pick up some tasty local produce to take back with you. We even have our own butcher. It’s more than just a food shop, though. Think of it as a café, coffee shop, juice bar, deli and showcase for the best farmers and producers in the region.
And if quality local food is your thing, you’ll love our new Bar & Grill with modern small plates and standout charcoal-grilled dishes with influences from all over the world.
On a sunny day, no visit to Holmes Mill is complete without a trip to our gelateria. This is the good stuff.
Even when the sun isn’t shining, there’s plenty to do. Holmes Mill is home to Clitheroe’s rather swish old-style Everyman Cinema with plush seating and four screens to choose from. We also have our own bowling alley – but this is duck pin bowling. It may be smaller in scale but that doesn’t make it easier – quite the opposite in fact. You haven’t had a strike until you’ve had a duck pin strike at our Boiler House Bowling.
If all this sounds too much for a day out, return visits are always welcome. Or, stay in our Spinning Block Hotel. The rooms are full of character and it means you can make the most of your time in the Ribble Valley, either exploring a little further afield or enjoying all the activities, food and drink we have to offer here at Holmes Mill.
