After all, The Bowland Beer Hall scooped CAMRA’s award for Britain’s best pub conversion and the East Lancashire CAMRA pub of the year, putting Clitheroe on the beer map.
With an award-winning pub, award-winning brewery, and the Spinning Block Hotel all on one site why not plan a short break that’s all about the beer?
We have 42 hand-pull pumps on our island bar. At over 100ft, it’s one of the longest in Britain. Our beer hall showcases a minimum of 24 cask ales at any one time as well as bottles and cans.
A trip to Holmes Mill has now become something of a pilgrimage for real ale aficionados across the North.
Make the most of your trip with our beercation packages, only £149 Sunday – Thursday.
The package includes a chance to enjoy nature’s Lancashire larder with £50 to spend on food and drink in the Bowland Beer Hall.
You’ll find our own beer, brewed right here as well as beer from our favourite indies, particularly our friends in the North. You’ll also find some pretty tasty beer hall food made with local produce like steak and ale pie with homemade chips, mushy peas and gravy or lamb kebab on flatbread with Greek salad.
Then spend a night in a double room in the individual and quirky Spinning Block Hotel with its mix of history and modern comfort and tuck in to a proper Lancashire breakfast the next morning.
It’s the perfect chance to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside – it’s as lovely as the Lakes but comparatively undiscovered and Holmes Mill makes the perfect base for getting out and about.
In fact, if you’re off exploring, we provide all our beercation guests with an ale trail map of our favourite local alehouses so you can explore the beauty and the beer of the Ribble Valley all at the same time. We also provide you with a little Bowland Brewery gift in your room.
