FIFTEEN projects from the new £15m refurbed Whitworth to a new Waitrose have been shortlisted in the RIBA North West Awards.
It's the start of the architectural process that last year led to The Everyman Theatre in Liverpool winning the Stirling Prize.
As well as the Building of the Year Award the shortlist will also produce a Small Project of the Year Award for projects costing less than £500,000. North West based practices Howard Miller Design, Pearson Architects and Snook Architects are vying for this prize alongside Carmody Groarke’s Maggie’s Centre at Clatterbridge.
The winners will be announced at an event at Halle St Peters in Manchester on Thursday 16 April 2015.
