IF your weekday diary is looking a little dull, get yourself to September's Lunch Beat disco at Black Dog Ballroom in the Northern Quarter. It's happening this Thursday, 27 September, from 1pm-2pm.
It's a disco with food in your lunch hour. And a brilliant way to de-stress, re-energise yourself, and have a laugh. Dancing in the daytime might seem odd at first but you'll soon get into it. And you'll be given a healthy wrap and a bottle of water to fuel you up.
Expect to return to work feeling about three times happier than when you left.
Past DJs have included Hacienda legend Graeme Park and Shameless actor Ciaran Griffiths. This month they've been holding a competition to be the DJ – go along to see whose mix impressed the judges.
The Lunch Beat movement originated in Stockholm and the first Manchester Lunch Beat took place in May.
Tickets usually cost £8, but Confidential readers can pick them up for just £5. Each ticket includes a light healthy lunch and free bottled water is provided throughout.
Lunch Beat Manchester will take place at Black Dog Ballroom, on the corner of Tib Street and Church Street, between 1-2pm on Thursday 27 September.
