Exclusive club brand will take over the space recently vacated by The Milton Club
Famous London celeb haunt Chinawhite is set to open a new club on Manchester's Deansgate.
The exclusive establishment, which has counted the likes of Kate Moss, Leonardo DiCaprio and Prince Harry as patrons, has taken over the spot only recently vacated by The Milton Club - which closed in March after being sold to an 'international club brand'.
Chinawhite's managing director James Spallone confirmed the news via his Linkedin page, while a new Instagram account confirms that the group have started work to convert the venue.
First opened near Regent Street in the early 2000s, the plush Orient-inspired nightclub soon became one of the capital's most exclusive nightclubs, but closed in 2008 when the building went up for sale. Chinawhite relaunched the following year on Winsley Street in Fitzrovia.
In 2013 the club relaunched again, this time as 'Libertine', with bosses looking to 'update the nightclub and formula and offer some new experimental twists'. In 2014, the group opened its first venue outside of London in Belfast's Linen Quarter.
A new Chinawhite club also opened in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, despite a spat over the rights to the brand.
Chinawhite's co-director is Constantine Kulukundis, who in 2017 embarked on an ill-fated foray into the world of fast food with Jamie Wood, the son of Rolling Stones’ guitarist Ronnie Wood. BurgerFi closed in May this year.
Chinawhite is expected to launch in Milton Hall later this year, subject to licence approval.
