BANDIT, Mugger & Thief have a new menu and my, it’s good. It’s also pretty extensive so we thought we’d show you round what we think are the best bits so you can hotfoot it over to Canal Street and get ordering.

Pork Pie Board

These aren’t just any old pork pies, they’re award-winning pork pies and if you’re a fan of Melton Mowbray’s finest invention, this is unmissable. The platter includes half a classic pork pie, half a sweet chilli and rhubarb pork pie and half a pork, apple and Wensleydale pork pie, all served with piccalilli, caramelised onion chutney and the perfect pork pie pairing – pickled onions.

Meat and Cheese Platter

The platters are designed for sharing with friends – the only problem is, you won’t want anyone else to deprive you of even a mouthful, they’re that good. Choose three cheeses and three meats from the charcuterie selection to make up your perfect meal then scoff it down with crackers, caramelised red onion chutney and almonds. The Yorkshire Cask is a particular favourite at Confidential HQ, a rich creamy cheddar with wholegrain mustard seeds, it also goes very well with the Cumberland salami. (main image)

The Greasy Spoon

OK, we agree, it doesn’t sound appetising but this pizza will have you drooling at the chops. Everyone likes a full English, right? Everyone likes pizza too. This contains everything you love about pizza but with sausage, bacon, black pudding and tomato all topped off with a fried egg. There’s even a hash brown on it too. If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then this is the most important pizza you will ever eat. A definite result.

Get Clucked Burger

Burgers are everywhere and the offerings at Bandit, Mugger & Thief are damn tasty but our favourite is this chicken fillet burger served with pesto, sundried tomato and rocket in a brioche bun. It feels light and fresh and, somehow, just perfect for summer. With the accompanying handcut chips and a cold beer, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the sunshine sat out overlooking the water.
