DEANSGATE-based letting agent Ascend have become the first to bring Urban Splash's new customisable 'hoUSe' development in New Islington to the rental market.

The new concept - designed by award-winning London and Liverpool-based architects shedkm - allows buyers to choose the number of floors, room configurations and internal features of their new home before it's assembled on-site from pre-fabricated components.
"We wanted to make houses with great space standards; high ceilings, big windows and we wanted to give customers the ability to alter and change the layouts," says Urban Splash chief Tom Bloxham, "both initially when they buy so they can specify the exact house they want - or if they are on a budget the option to buy a 'base model' now and over time improve and adapt."
Urban Splash have constructed 44 hoUSe properties in total (43 of which have already sold), with Ascend bringing ten to the rental market.
