Book now for Manchester's first-ever sake-pairing tasting menu at The Rabbit In The Moon
Manchester city centre restaurant The Rabbit in The Moon is set to host Manchester’s first sake pairing dinner. The fine dining restaurant, located on the top floor of the Urbis building, will be collaborating with sake connoisseurs Sushi Sushi and Sam Sake for a one off exclusive sake pairing dinner on Friday 8th June.
The evening will be a unique opportunity to experience The Rabbit in The Moon’s new visually and technically impressive ingredient led set tasting menu, expertly paired with eight different glasses of sake.
Priced at £90, the savoury umami flavours of the sake enhance the flavour of each dish to excite the taste buds. Set dishes on the pairing menu include Langoustine Toast, Soy and Ginger Glazed Pork Cheek, Unagi Bao, Native Lobster with Thai flavours and Fillet of Beef with Salt and Pepper Prawn. Sweet servings include White Chocolate Passionfruit and Peppercorn Éclair.
Stuart Turner from Sushi Sushi and Sarah Wedgbury from Sam Sake will also be on hand throughout the evening to guide guests through a range of grades and styles of sake. Stuart’s passion for good quality Japanese products and Sarah’s knowledge combined allow them to pair sake with The Rabbit in The Moon’s food exquisitely and with a zesty sparkling sake on arrival, the dinner is not one to miss.
A vegetarian and pescatarian menu is also available. Tables are available at 7pm, 7:45pm and 8:30pm.
