AWARD winning, independently owned Italian restaurant Don Giovanni is helping Manchester students celebrate with a special graduation offer and a glass of fizz, and they’re helping the rest of us enjoy their latest À La Carte menu with half-price food every day during the month of August.
This very special summer deal is a great opportunity to try out some of Don Giovanni’s new seasonal dishes, such as Saltimbocca Parma ham-wrapped veal escallops with fresh sage or grilled wild Devon Dover Sole served whole and deboned at the table by your server. Alternatively, you might just want to stick to the favourites – after all, no one does Spaghetti Carbonara like Don Giovanni, whose chefs use authentic Italian guanciale cured pork cheeks for a real flavour punch.
From penne and tagliatelle to ravioli parcels and oven-baked cannelloni, there’s plenty of pasta, with gluten-free versions on request. Pizza is here and also risotto, including wild mushroom, seafood and even lobster, served in the shell. And there’s plenty of market-fresh fish and meat, including smoky steaks sourced from local grass farms around Macclesfield and cooked in a Josper oven at 400C.

As the restaurant is located on Oxford Street near St Peter’s Square, it’s handily located for students graduating at the Bridgewater or Whitworth Halls. There’s plenty to choose from too – starters include oven-baked Portobello mushrooms, mains include Salmone Adriatico and sweet include a Panna Cotta with just the right level of wobble.
