SPLENDID Kitchen is now closed on Mondays until April 6 (Bank Holiday Monday) when it's open as usual but there's no need to shed a tear, they're getting themselves ready for a series of Kitchen Takeovers.
If you've tasted their off-kilter take on traditional fish and chips before, then you know you're in for a treat
Starting on Monday 13 April with The Hip Hop Chip Shop, the great and the good of Manchester's street food traders, supper clubs and restaurants will be taking over the Splendid kitchen and presenting multi-course menus to showcase their talents.
Hip Hop Chip ShopThere'll be great food, plentiful drinks and a few surprises along the way. Local heroes The Hip Hop Chip Shop (@thehiphopchippy) will be kicking things off in style with their Greatest Hits menu. Love From The Streets (@mcrstreetfood), Dirty Food Revolution (@dirty_food), Nasi Lemak (@NasiLemak_MCR), Arepa! Arepa! Arepa! (@ArepaArepaArepa) and The Drunken Butcher (@drunkenbutcher) will all be making eagerly anticipated appearances as will sell-out comedy night, Bangers & Laughs.
Dirty Food RevolutionThere'll be a full pay on the night bar with craft beers, wine, cocktails and more, all provided by Splendid Kitchen, and certain events will also have a drinks pairing option available.
Mondays are going to be a real foodie affair but it's going to be popular, really popular. To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, events will be ticketed with limited availability. You can get yours here approximately four to six weeks before each takeover.
