Sleuth is a sideways glance at the city every week, it's the truth, but Sleuth's truth. He's several people all at once. Sleuth sometimes even gets serious. @mcrsleuth
TARIFF & DALE OPENS IN NQ
New Northern Quarter bar restaurant (which Sleuth has never said before) Tariff & Dale has opened on the corner of, well, Tariff & Dale. Set over 4,000 sq ft of a former Victorian warehouse, the new venue is the ‘cheeky little brother’ to long-standing Chorlton bar restaurant, Lead Station. Sleuth welcomes the new Northern Quarter bar, as he has the previous 473, but struggles to see what makes the new bar ‘cheeky’. Sleuth popped in Wednesday night and the bar neither pinched his arse, wolf-whistled, or called him ‘darling’. Anyway, the new bar has a cracking beer selection, ideal for a cheeky pint to wash down a cheeky beetroot risotto and tabbouleh salad. Matron.
BRESTAURANT
Sleuth has developed a repetitive strain injury in both hands from writing the words ‘bar restaurant’, so shall now be using ‘brestaurant’… because it’s funnier and sounds like 'breast'.
WORK STARTS ON ASHA'S
Work has finally started on Asha’s Indian restaurant on Peter Street opposite the Radisson. The new 6000 sq ft, two floor brestaurant comes from the United Arab Emirates restaurant group inspired by 80-year-old Bollywood superstar, Asha Bhosle, who, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the most recorded artist in music history with around 12,000 songs to her name. 12,000? This means Bhosle has recorded an average of 150 songs a year since the day she was born. Her early work was crap, mind.
SLEUTH’S LOVELY DISHES IN TATTU
Sleuth was in Manchester’s newest brestaurant on Thursday - until probably tonight when the next five open. The food was delicious and here are the pictures to prove it - even the three edible babies in swaddling bonds were very tasty.

SLEUTH’S SHOCK ELECTION RESULT
Scottish Labour MP, Kate Green, holds seat. Ok it's not in Scotland it's in Stretford and Urmston but...
LIARS LIES
Sleuth popped into The Liar’s Club last night – the subterranean ‘tiki den’ which has made Sleuth awake many a morn wishing he was a goat. Sleuth had been told The Liar’s Club had seen a refurb. However, aside from removing a sticky layer of cinnamon and pineapple paste from everything and everyone, Sleuth couldn’t spot one difference. Not one. Meaning Liars Club had lived up to its name.
