THE first two towers are already rising on Salford's skyline. And soon there will be a third. Buy-to-let provider Knight Knox has launched phase three of its X1 Media City scheme, after the first two phases proved to be a sell-out success.
103 apartments in Tower 3 have already been snapped up in the first two weeks
The £200 million development from award-winning developer X1 is set to enhance the Salford Quays skyline with its four towers overlooking the waterfront. The scheme will provide 1,100 apartments when complete and become the premier address in Salford Quays.
Tower 3 offers 275 fully-furnished apartments and is due for completion in 2018, with the two earlier towers completing at the end of 2017.
Situated on Michigan Avenue, Salford Quays, the development has attracted strong investor demand; 103 apartments in Tower 3 have already been snapped up in the first two weeks, at a sales value in excess of £17.1 million.
The development will be let and managed in its entirety by X1 Lettings and the building work is being carried out by Vermont Construction.
X1 Media City is just a 15-minute tram ride from Manchester city centre. It will comprise spacious studios, and luxury one and two-bedroom apartments. Properties are now for sale and are priced from £114,995.
Michael Fenlon, sales director at Knight Knox, said: “With the first two phases of X1 Media City being incredibly popular, we have no doubt that the third phase will sell out very quickly – particularly as investment activity soars across the North West region.
“Salford Quays is a hugely popular area and has been the focal point of the city’s regeneration in recent years. We’re delighted to be providing another premium residential property scheme to one of the country’s investment hotspots.”
The prime location is a big draw for investors and future tenants. It's situated just a stone’s throw from the vastly popular MediaCityUK, home to over 200 businesses including the BBC and ITV.
Amenities for the development include an on-site cinema, private gymnasium and secure underground parking, as well as retail units on the ground and first floors.
Melissa Green, operational and regional manager at X1, said: “Having worked closely with Knight Knox for a number of years, we’re thrilled to jointly announce the third phase of the popular X1 Media City development.
“As with the other two towers, the design of the third tower perfectly complements the surrounding area. We’ve no doubt that the launch will be a huge hit, given the exceptional quality of our properties and the unrivalled amenities. This is an exciting time for X1; the first two towers are now rising high above the city’s skyline and we cannot wait to see the next tower join them.”
