Manchester has everything but a beach. You can’t paddle in the sea but you can still enjoy the water with a relaxing summer cruise from Manchester River Cruises.
Just think: The sun sparkling on the water, fresh air and blue skies, a drink in your hand – what could be more idyllic?
Fortunately, Manchester River Cruises still have some availability for their one-hour leisure cruises of Salford Quays and the Manchester Ship Canal.
The cruises run from just outside Pier 8 Restaurant, under the Millennium Lift Bridge until Sunday 20 June. Tours after that date will depart from Manchester city centre.
This mini cruise is the perfect way to while away a weekend afternoon taking in the landmarks of the area and finding out about its history.
There is also limited availability for some of Manchester River Cruises’ special evening events. On Thursday 22 July and Friday 27 August Elvis is on the boat with a tribute night involving Prosecco, light bites, table service and, of course, some very special music.
There will be two occasions to catch the hugely popular Swing and Rat Pack nights too: Thursday 1 July, Thursday 26 July and Thursday 26 August.
The fully-equipped sightseeing boat is COVID secure with passenger areas sanitised between trips and there are toilets and a fully-stocked bar aboard. Group bookings for a maximum of six passengers are permitted.
