All aboard the sightseeing ship

Take to the water on board the Princess Katherine and see a new side to Manchester and Salford.

The summer is the perfect time to book a city river and canal tour with outside seating available on a first come first served basis.

The tour lasts 60-70 minutes and you’ll find out interesting nuggets about the history of the Manchester Ship Canal and the surrounding area as you sail past MediaCity, Old Trafford, Stephenson’s 1830 bridge and the disused dry docks.

The Princess Katherine is a purpose-built fully-equipped Dutch-style sightseeing vessel with toilets onboard and a bar serving tea, coffee, wine, beer and more throughout the trip.

The cruise is a round trip with a choice of two departure points: either Pier 8 at Salford Quays under the Millennium Footbridge or Ralli Quay in Spinningfields in Manchester City Centre.

The cost is £12pp with discounts for seniors and children and there are regular departures throughout the week.
