Lily’s Vegetarian is our legendary Indian restaurant but did you know you can also get your Lily’s fix in our Chorlton deli.
We sell store cupboard essentials, lunch and curry specials to eat in and takeaway and a huge range of our popular snacks and sweets.
Everyone loves a samosa and it will be no surprise that our Gujarati samosas and our vegetarian samosas are some of our most popular offerings. They’re both vegan and you can eat them on the go as a snack or heat them up at home to accompany your next curry.
Our tikki is another popular choice at Lily’s Deli - but beware, our cauliflower tikki has such a reputation that it regularly sells out. The aloo tikki is popular too - fiery little potato patties with a crisp coating. They are so moreish - luckily they’re only 85p a pop so you can give into your tikki cravings. These gorgeous little snacks are both vegan too.
For more vegan snack heaven, people come from all over for our methi pakodas and our aubergine pakodas. These gram flour goodies are great value because they’re sold by weight. That’s because each one is different and they’re made by us, not by some huge factory. The aubergine pakodas are rich and almost creamy whilst the methi pakodas have a lovely smoky bitterness. Methi is the word for fenugreek leaves.
Our colourful array of Indian sweets are made by specialist mithai chefs and include both vegan and vegetarian treats.
The best-selling vegetarian goodies at Lily’s Deli are our barfi. From coconut chocolate barfi to pistachio barfi, we have a range of flavours and vibrant colours look great in a gift box. If you can bear to give them away. If you’ve never tried barfi before, it’s a bit like fudge and our coconut chocolate barfi tastes like a Bounty but better.
Our motichoor ladoo is another popular sweet. It has a subtle aromatic flavour and tiny pearls of gram flour are fried to make a little sphere of loveliness which has a texture not unlike gulab jamun, another popular Lily’s Deli favourite.
Vegans love our kaju kamal made with cashews, pistachios, saffron and cardamom and our kaju katli, a diamond shaped cashew-based fudgy sweet. With edible silver leaf, they both look fancy enough for a special occasion, especially the lotus flower design of kaju kamal.
