Lily’s is, and always has been, a family business from the day PG and Liliwati Sachdev set up a shop selling Indian sweets and savouries in 1972. Lily’s was named in honour of our late mother who started off the family journey, feeding the people of Ashton and Manchester Indian delicacies made with love and skill.
We continue our mum’s legacy by working together as a family just like she would have wanted to bring you healthy, fresh, vibrant food from across India. Our chefs share our passion for vegetarian dishes and they come from all over India, North to South, so you know what you are eating is a real taste of each region.
Our menu takes in traditional farsan like samosas and bhajis as well as curries such as aloo palak with its carefully spiced mix of spinach and potatoes or chana paneer with its nourishing chickpeas and creamy cheese.
Many of dishes are completely vegan or can be made so at your request. We can also prepare food for a Jain diet – please ask to find out more.
It’s not just curry at Lily’s. You’ll also find street food dishes like papdi chaat and unexpected delights like our cheesy chip sizzler or our mighty Mumbai triple-decker sandwich, stacked with home-made chutneys, spices and veg.
Come and see why people have been enjoying our food for fifty years – or pop into our deli in Chorlton and pick up a snack or some store cupboard essentials.
