It'll be their first personal training facility in a rural area
IT'S in high demand thanks to its famous twelve-week body transformations and celebrity clientele. But until now, if you wanted to work out with a personal trainer from Ultimate Performance, you needed to be within sprinting distance of a major city, such as Manchester, London, Los Angeles or Sydney.
That changes with the opening of a new UP gym in the village of Alderley Edge – the company's first outside a major metropolitan area.
Named UP Cheshire, it will provide bespoke personal training programmes designed for ‘maximum results in minimum time.’
It’s exciting to be able to bring this calibre of personal training to the community here.
Its launch comes less than 12 months after UP Manchester moved to its state-of-the-art new home in the XYZ Building in Spinningfields.
There the UP personal trainers work one-to-one with hundreds of successful clients including celebrities including Cath Tyldesley, Gemma Atkinson and Ryan Thomas.
Just like UP Manchester, the new 3,500 sq ft facility on Alderley Edge’s Congleton Road includes bespoke training equipment designed to get maximum body transformation results for every client.
The gym is equipped with Atlantis training equipment and its centrepiece is the signature UP red track used for prowler pushes, sled pulls, sled drags, lunge walks and modified strongman exercises like farmer's walks.
Nick Mitchell, founder and global CEO of Ultimate Performance, said, “Don't let any of our other worldwide locations read this, but as a Northerner I've always dreamed that we could expand away from the metropolitan city centres and bring the UP experience to the kind of places in which I grew up.
“UP Cheshire is our very first location that's away from the big city hustle and bustle.
“Whilst we plan on being uncompromising when it comes to attaining our world-famous results, we are tremendously excited to be adding a range of neighbourhood-focused amenities that we hope will see our newest club become an active and integral part of the Alderley Edge community.”
Mark Bohannon, Head of UP North, said: “What we have created in Alderley Edge is truly unique – bringing to the village our world-class personal trainers, state-of-the-art training equipment and outstanding body transformations that we have built our global reputation on.
“It’s exciting to be able to bring this calibre of personal training to the community here and give people who want to get in the best shape of their lives the real UP training experience.”
The gym is expected to be open for clients in early June 2018.
