BOSSES behind MediaCityUK's new £20m Tomorrow scheme have announced the project will launch in June 2016.

The heartbeat of the building will be 23:59, a collaboration and co-working coffee hub

The 'experimental' studio and office space will total more than 100,000 sq ft and include a 112-bed Premier Inn hotel and 23:59, a 'co-working coffee hub' to be spread across the ground floors.

The scheme on Broadway has been designed to meet the increasing demand for fast-growing creative and digital industries and to encourage start-ups to relocate to MediaCityUK, which already boasts BBC, ITV and over 200 media and tech companies as tenants.

Lynn Haime, asset manager at MediaCityUK, said:

“Tomorrow brings a new dimension to MediaCityUK and will provide a studio/warehouse feel, with exposed steel beams, full access raised floors and full height glazing with opening windows.

"Creativity is key. The heartbeat of the building will be 23:59, a collaboration and co-working coffee hub spread across ground and mezzanine level. We’re excited to be working with Edwards and Co and to look forward to seeing the space come alive with innovative and inspiring businesses."

Manchester-based surveyors Edwards & Co. have been appointed agents on the project.

Andrew Timms, Head of Office Agency at Manchester-based Edwards and Co, said:

"Tomorrow will be complementary to the state-of-the-art digital facilities for broadcasting and production, audio and virtual reality - currently offered at the Landing and dock10. We are excited to work with those businesses that will make their mark in this creative space."
