The Midland’s bar and brasserie snaffle top cocktail award
The competitors at the Rumble event earlier this month were shaking in their boots – quite literally, as this was a night when Manchester’s mightiest mixologists got together in the Albert Hall to battle it out to create the best margarita in town.
Bartenders from 15 of the top bars and restaurants in the Greater Manchester area pitched up to make their version of the iconic tequila, orange liqueur and lime cocktail for a 1,000-strong audience of judges.
We’re delighted to have been crowned winners at Manchester’s first Margarita Rumble and look forward to welcoming guests to Mr Cooper’s keen to sample the best margarita in town
But the first-ever cocktail-concocting contest of its kind could only have one winner – and that was Mr Cooper’s, the imaginatively designed bar and brasserie in landmark RBH-run hotel The Midland.
Mr Cooper’s Bar Manager Jason Palmer was made up with the result, saying: “We’re delighted to have been crowned winners at Manchester’s first Margarita Rumble and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and voted at the event. We look forward to welcoming guests to Mr Cooper’s keen to sample the best margarita in town.”
Well, that sounds like an idea. Book a table here!
