SATUDAY late night options are about to get a lot juicer thanks to Deansgate’s Argentinian steakhouse Gaucho.

The Gaucho group has long been synonymous with prime cuts of beef but now midnight meat munchers can satisfy their opulent bovine cravings until the early hours with a new late night menu.

The ‘Midnight Feasts’ menu, new for 2013, includes a four course meal with cocktails and the usual Malbec house wine on offer along with live music too. People booking in will get a sumptuous South American dining experience between 11pm and 1am.

New York, Paris and many Asian cities take late night and even 24-hour dining as a given, but not so much in Britain. We tend to aim our late night food at drunken people whose taste buds have been conned by the waves of booze that have washed over them. Gaucho appears to be one of a handful of restaurants who are trying to offer an alternative late night foodie perspective though.

Over the four courses midnight diners can expect to sample an ‘avant-garde’ beef & chilli popcorn dish to start, followed by ‘Ceviche dog’ (a raw fish combination marinated in citrus juice and spices), followed by a trio of speciality sweets and rounded off with, of all things - candy floss.
