SATUDAY late night options are about to get a lot juicer thanks to Deansgate’s Argentinian steakhouse Gaucho.
The Gaucho group has long been synonymous with prime cuts of beef but now midnight meat munchers can satisfy their opulent bovine cravings until the early hours with a new late night menu.
"Midnight dining is set to be the latest food trend in 2013 so we’re extremely excited to bring Gaucho’s first ever ‘Midnight Feast’ to Manchester"
The ‘Midnight Feasts’ menu, new for 2013, includes a four course meal with cocktails and the usual Malbec house wine on offer along with live music too. People booking in will get a sumptuous South American dining experience between 11pm and 1am.
Peter Ebbutt, Managing Director at Gaucho said: “We’re extremely excited to bring Gaucho’s first ever ‘Midnight Feast’ to Manchester. Our Head Chef Phil Neil has created an unusual menu designed to satisfy and surprise taste buds in opulent surroundings.”
New York, Paris and many Asian cities take late night and even 24-hour dining as a given, but not so much in Britain. We tend to aim our late night food at drunken people whose taste buds have been conned by the waves of booze that have washed over them. Gaucho appears to be one of a handful of restaurants who are trying to offer an alternative late night foodie perspective though.
Over the four courses midnight diners can expect to sample an ‘avant-garde’ beef & chilli popcorn dish to start, followed by ‘Ceviche dog’ (a raw fish combination marinated in citrus juice and spices), followed by a trio of speciality sweets and rounded off with, of all things - candy floss.
Midnight Feasts Menu:
Beef & chilli popcorn
Ceviche dog
Trio of savoury sweets, Lomo lolly pop, Humita cones and candied mixed beet root
Dulce de leche candy floss
The Midnight Feasts menu is available every Saturday evening from 11pm-1am. To book tickets visit the Gaucho website here.
