Sir Ian Mckellen joined tens of thousands of spectators and 2500 paraders to lead Manchester's 25th annual Pride celebrations through the centre of Manchester on Saturday 30 August.
Manchester's festival is a beacon of light
The LORD of the Rings star was joined by cast members of Coronation Street, The Queen (sort of), members of Mr Leather and a bubble-belching fire engine as the highlight of the weekend festival snaked it's way from Castlefield's Liverpool Street along to Manchester's Gay Village.
The LGBT parade took place as Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, told Confidential 'Manchester's festival is a beacon of light for the rest of the world'.
2015 will also see Texas, Danni Minogue and Union J perform at the festival's Big Weekend.
