The Kamani family, owners of Rosso, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing & Nasty Gal, give generously for 2nd year running
THE Kamani family, who own Manchester companies Rosso Restaurant, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing and Nasty Gal, have donated a massive £500,000 worth of gifts to Key 103’s Mission Christmas appeal.
With over 68,000 children living in poverty in Manchester, this donation will go a long way to making this Christmas one to remember. 1 in 4 children across the UK are living in poverty this December and for these families Christmas is simply a luxury they can’t afford.
Cash for Kid’s Managing Director Sally Aitchison MBE said: “We would like to thank the Kamani family for their amazing donation of £500,000 worth of gifts and toys for our Mission Christmas appeal in Manchester. In Manchester alone, Cash for Kids has received applications for toys on behalf of 68,751 children, which equates to over £3 million of gift requests. This donation will help us reach out to some of these children on Christmas Day.”
Mission Christmas asks people to buy one extra present to take to one of 5,000 local drop-off points, which includes Wickes branches across the UK.
In 2016, Mission Christmas raised £15.5million of gifts and, which helped over 360,000 disadvantaged children.
