LUNYA, the acclaimed Catalonian restaurant and deli, has chalked up another victory. This time it's topped a readers survey for the Good Food Guide in the North West. Apparently it beat the rest in a welter of enthusiastic endorsement.

This has made it a destination restaurant with people travelling to Liverpool from across the region and beyond to enjoy the food. It's boosted the city's culinary reputation.

Lunya is overjoyed of course, saying “It’s very exciting and something we’re very proud about. Thanks to everyone who nominated us. We feel this is great recognition for our fabulous team and our lovely customers.”

Bless.

But Lunya is seriously good.

Confidential’s Gordo salivates every time the word is uttered. Back in 2010 when it opened Neil McQuillian in a trademark review on Liverpool Confidential said: ‘If Lunya maintains these standards then Scousers will long be paying Homage to Catalonia.’

It’s a joke that had to be made but Lunya’s seriously professional approach has paid dividends. It has maintained those standards and exceeded them.

This has made Lunya a destination restaurant with people travelling to Liverpool from across the region and beyond to enjoy the food. It's boosted the city's culinary reputation and really looks the part too, with its ham-laden ceiling and piled-high goodies.

This latest accolade from The Good Food Guide merely underlines the last four years of success. The suckling pigs of College Lane are on the up.
