LOUNGE TEN is re-opening on Saturday 4 August.
A typical main could be tuffle infused corn fed chicken supreme with wilted spoonwort, fondant potato, foie gras sauce (£18.50) and a pudd could be popping candy and pop-rock chocolate cake with strawberry ice cream (£7.50).
It's had a full refurb but aficionadoes of this red, black, gold, be-tassled, burlesque performer of a restaurant will be pleased to learn that it's as lush as ever.
In fact, in amongst the soft porn pastel pictures, there's an even larger tassle and mirror count.
The downstairs area of the sixty-plus cover restaurant will now be a bar only.
Happily the toilets have been divided. So it's out with the old-fashioned unisex toilets everyone nicked from Ally McBeal and in comes a 'gents' and a 'ladies'.
There'll be a live pianist every night Lounge Ten is open and a magician will guest frequently. The manager is Lee Ronan.
The restaurant will re-open cautiously, just on Saturdays for a couple or so weeks.
Then it will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Sensibly it will only open in the evening. There's not much call for this level of dining at lunchtimes in the city.
The menu is produced below. It comes from a brigade led by Marcus Humphrey and Michal Rybak.
A typical starter might be braised red leg of partridge, quince puree, amertith and red basil salad, thyme jus (£9); a typical main could be tuffle infused corn fed chicken supreme with wilted spoonwort, fondant potato, foie gras sauce (£18.50) and a pudd could be popping candy and pop-rock chocolate cake, strawberry ice cream (£7.50).
Manchester's missed the Baroque excess of this cheeky ooh-la-la restaurant. So welcome back to the Tib Lane tastebud tickler.
