LOVE the idea of a long Italian lunch on a Sunday but don't have the time and patience to create it yourself? CIBO in Didsbury has just launched a menu that'll help you live La Dolce Vita without four hours in the kitchen beforehand.

It's a traditional Italian lunch featuring the best seasonal ingredients crafted into simple yet delicious dishes.

Starters include Smoked Scamorza (a mozzarella-style cheese) wrapped in cured ham and served warm with onion marmalade. Those with smaller appetites might prefer the soup which makes the most of this summer's crop of ripe, juicy, flavoursome tomatoes, or the calamari which are delicately fried to create a light, moreish dish.


The star main for us is the roast rump of lamb served on puree potatoes with mixed greens and fresh mint jus. But there's also seafood in the form of sea bass with fresh clams, lemon butter, new potatoes and spinach, plus a veal pasta dish, roast pork belly, and vegetarian porcini ravioli in creamy truffle sauce with mixed salad.

The dessert course is a communal experience with a trio of their house desserts to share.

Prices are very reasonable at two courses for £12 and three courses for £15. It's available every Sunday at CIBO .
