A SINGLE ring can symbolise many things.
Of course, commonly a diamond ring worn on the left hand is a symbol of your hopeful promise of a long and devoted marriage - and the bigger rocks can suggest your future spouse paid handsomely for it. For a King or a rapper, a grotesquely flashy ring on the pinky finger is an overt display of their wealth. For the slimy creature Gollum of Lord of the Rings' the ring was the “precious” he lusted after until the end of his days.
"I feel naked without them, I even wear my rings in bed," said Jamil to the crowd of bejewelled 'ring stackers'.
In fashion, stacking a combination of rings on every finger can help showcase your personal style. Do you prefer plain bands or stones? Are you brave enough to mix metals? Do you like to wear rocks big enough to rival Mr T?
How do you stack yours? Pandora, My Rings, My Style at The Trafford Centre
Long known for its luxury charm bracelets (a teenage girl's birthday favourite), jewellers Pandora has launched its #MyRingsMyStyle event across the country, stopping by the Manchester's Trafford Centre store with Radio 1 Presenter, Jameela Jamil and Channel 4's Rick Edwards.
T4 alumni Rick Edwards and Jameela Jamil hosted Pandora, My Rings, My Style
With a hand from stylists and bloggers, the evening showcased Pandora's collaborations with Jameela Jamil and stylist/DJ Angela Scanlon to promote its sterling silver and 14 carot gold rings. Scanlon's stack includes a 14 carot gold and diamond band (£145), while Jamil's collection is a feminine white enamel flower set (£50).
"I feel naked without them, I even wear my rings in bed," said Jamil to the crowd of bejewelled 'ring stackers'. However, witty Channel 4 presenter Rick Edwards, had chose to go ringless for the event.
