Giuseppe Napoli brings worldwide food and beverage experience, ideal for hotel’s global clientele
NEWLY appointed food and beverage manager, Giuseppe Napoli has 17 years of international hospitality experience including spells in Italy, New York and China, where he won the IHG hotel group manager of the year award.
Arriving from Manchester’s Hilton Hotel, he will oversee all food and beverage at the double-AA rosette River Restaurant and Bar, which offers superb views of the River Irwell. Originally from Sicily, Giuseppe’s main task will be to ensure the food and service at the Lowry Hotel remains at the very highest level, while introducing new ideas to ensure it remains at the top of the hotel food scene in Manchester. He will work closely with executive head chef, Andrew Green.
Before relocating to Manchester in 2015, Guisseppe ran food and drink operations for major hotels with the global Starwood group in three countries; Russia, Ethiopia and Azerbaijan.
Giuseppe’s roles in overseeing restaurants and bars for luxury hotels worldwide should come in useful. The Lowry Hotel reports it is welcoming increased numbers of foreign guests including those from the Middle East and China, particularly after publicity regarding Chinese Premier Xi’s visit last year.
“You need to be very adaptable,” says Giuseppe. “The new generations of Chinese guest have very high standards and I know what we must do to meet their expectations.”
Giuseppe will combine his new role at the Lowry Hotel with an MBA in International Hospitality and Service Industries Management which he will undertake at the highly-esteemed Glion Institute in Switzerland.
