BLACK Dog Ballroom has a brand new executive chef and he’s been tweaking the menu to make the food EVEN BETTER. To celebrate its launch, they’re offering Manchester Confidential readers 25% off food at both Black Dog Ballroom in the Northern Quarter and Black Dog New Wakefield Street, from Sunday-Friday, between 31st May and 9th June.

Burgers are still there of course (BD knows what their punters want) but now they’ve all been made to a special recipe created with local butcher JL Woods. Served in a traditional sesame seed bun (the kind that won’t fall apart) they’ve gone burger bonkers with more than a few different versions. You can build your own by adding cheese, bacon or even another beef patty, plus there’s Burger Mac (with mac and cheese stuffed between burger and bun), chicken burger, pulled pork burger or nacho burger. But why choose when they also offer a burger slider trio?

If you prefer it doggy-style, you’ve come to the right place. Here the delicious porky bad boys snuggled between a soft sub roll have been supplied by Diamond Dogs – who don’t just supply anyone you know. With five different options to choose from (or a mini dog trio) a special shout out has to go to the soon-to-become-legendary Snoop Dogg smothered in mac and cheese (of course) and a chopped up beef patty. Enjoy while sippin’ on your gin & juice (yep, some of the cocktails are new too.)

There are nine different types of 14” pizza perfection, or 20” mega-pizzas for tearing and sharing (because sharing is caring). And you can all pile in to pick at a pile of party food including fries, nachos, onion rings, chicken wings and more.

If you’re strictly focussed on that bikini body or want to look slim in your Speedo’s, perhaps one of their brand new salads might be more for you? Choose from Steak and Cheese, Classic Caesar or Superfood salad with mixed leaves, tomato, avocado, broccoli, courgette, pumpkin seeds and broad beans. Pump up the protein by adding grilled halloumi cheese, per peri chicken, salmon or steak.
