The Manchester College Skills Show 2015 is here to give you the opportunity to experience what you can expect if you decide to join us at The Manchester College.
We’ve designed the Skills Show to give you an all-round experience of what courses we offer and the facilities that go with them, alongside the chance to meet our tutors and support staff.
Whilst at the show you can have a go at a whole range of activities related to the courses we offer, from fitting a spark plug in an engine to plumbing and brickwork. There will also be live music, fashion shows featuring designs by the College’s fashion and design students, mocktail-making demonstrations, a beauty area, and the opportunity to get your CV up to date and polish up your interview skills.
Whatever your age, interest or educational background, The Manchester College has an option to suit your needs. The Skills Show will give you the chance to find out about the wide range of academic and work-related courses we offer - A levels, degree level courses, Apprenticeships, vocational courses, professional qualifications and online distance learning.
On hand to give you advice and guidance will be our expert tutors. Experienced and knowledgeable, many are also former industry professionals who will teach you the relevant skills for your chosen industry. Along with our support staff, our tutors are there to point you in the right direction and help you think about things you may not have considered.
Lisa O’Loughlin, Principal, The Manchester College, said: “Here at The Manchester College we believe in giving you a learning experience to prepare you for further study and the world of work. We aim to give you the confidence and qualifications to be who you want to be.
“Our Skills Show is the perfect opportunity to find out more. I’m sure you will find the event informative but also fun. Everyone at The Manchester College looks forward to welcoming you to the event.”
