IF YOU fancy a cooked breakfast with quality ingredients, then meat experts CAU certainly know how to deliver. Confidential took a trip to MediaCity to sample the delights of CAU’s brunch menu.

It’s one of your five a day

The CAU Breakfast takes the full English to another level with  a stonking pork and herb sausage, a nod to Argentinian cuisine with morcilla black pudding and perfectly-cooked smoked bacon along with eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and sourdough toast. It’s the ideal brunch to keep you going for the rest of the day.

Steaks and eggs is another dish that showcases CAU’s commitment to top-notch meat. The popular tapa de cuadril steak is flash-grilled for a smoky charred taste yet remains deliciously soft. Served with two fried eggs, it’s a tasty way to get your protein fix.

It’s easy to see the South American slant with tempting options like Latin eggs and sweet potato and chorizo hash. The Latin eggs are a superb take on poached eggs with Hollandaise on toasted muffins. Think of the quintessential English delight – runny yolks, hot buttered muffins, silky sauce. Now turn it up a notch with the addition of grilled avocado and a drizzle of chimichurri.

Or you could really spice up your morning with the sweet potato and chorizo hash. It’s fiery and fantastic with an egg and a punchy chilli.

It’s not all meat feasts at CAU. Indulge your sweeter side with a Nutella and hazelnut crêpe. Sometimes life just calls for chocolate.

Wash it all down with a selection of teas, fresh coffees, smoothies or even a cocktail. We recommend the Pure Fresh Orange. With Cointreau, Mondino Amaro and fresh orange juice, how could it be anything other than perfect for breakfast? It’s one of your five a day.

CAU’s brunch menu is available every day from 10.30am to 1pm and you can enjoy it at CAU Didsbury and CAU Wilmslow as well as CAU MediaCity.
