The best places to fill your boots for 90 minutes
If like us, you’ve ever wondered who invented brunch, all signs point to a chap called Guy Beringer.
In 1895 Beringer, an Englishman, wrote an appropriately titled essay called Brunch: A Plea in Hunter’s Weekly calling for a Sunday midday meal that softened the blow of the previous night’s alcohol whilst allowing for plenty of chat regarding Saturday night’s antics.
What Beringer probably didn’t foresee at the time was the bottom completely falling out of brunch, morphing into what has become the unbridled food and fizz fest we know today. It’s now easier to think of places that don’t do a bottomless brunch, than those that do.
But before we begin, a few general house rules to remember:
Your allocated time slot starts when you arrive
You're usually required to finish your drink before you order another
Order together as a party
and, although it seems counter-intuitive, don't get spangled.
As always, be kind to staff and appreciate it can be a tough gig catering to tables of prosecco-fuelled parties trying to get their money's worth. Apart from that, fill your boots and enjoy.

Banyan Vantage Point, Manchester M3 3PL
It's always promising to see a bottomless brunch menu with more booze than food options. £29.95 per person gets you a choice of four simple egg orientated brunch options and the choice of unlimited prosecco, different types of spritz and Garibaldis (Campari and orange). Available daily until 4pm.
The Blues Kitchen 13 Quay St, Manchester M3 3HN
Short and to the point at The Blues Kitchen. If you’re having brunch there’s the option to give whatever you’re eating - be it Creole crab benedict or buttermilk pancakes - a bottomless drink upgrade. Two hours of unlimited bloody marys or mimosas (£19.95) or prosecco (£22.95). Available weekends until 3.30pm.
BLVD The Avenue, North, Manchester M3 3BZ
A small plate East Asian offering with a concise sushi menu meets the all-important limitless booze at BLVD’s bottomless brunch. £35 per person for two plates or one sushi plate also offers the choice of three dessert options and plenty of prosecco, bottled beer or mystery BLVD gin cocktail. Friday to Saturday, 12-5pm.
Bunny Jackson’s 1 Jack Rosenthal St, Manchester M15 4RA
Every day can feel bottomless at Bunny’s when it’s 20p a wing but if you prefer your wings certified bottomless, First Street’s wing emporium has got you. Bottomless Bunny’s runs seven days a week, midday to 4pm and includes bottomless wings (house BBQ, buffalo and classic) and fries as well as house lager, frozen cocktails and flavoured Lambrini for £25 per person. No booking required, 12-4pm daily.
Canto Cutting Room Square, Blossom St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 5DH
It’s called Tipsy Tapas here but it’s the same premise. Three select tapas dishes with unlimited fizz, bellinis or house wine. Available Saturday 12-3pm for £35 per person.
Crazy Pedro’s 55-57 Bridge St, Manchester M3 3BQ
We’re not sure our teeth could survive unlimited Hooch for 90 mins but the opportunity is there at Crazy Pedro’s along with beer, prosecco and classic frozen margs. Unlimited food comes in the form of various pizza slices of the day. Available daily. Booking is recommended but there’s also space for walk-ins. £25 per person.
Cottonopolis 16 Newton St, Manchester M1 2AE
There’s bottomless brunch to be had at Cottonopolis but it doesn’t follow your standard-issue 90-minute scranfest rules. You could say it’s a more civilised affair. Choose from a minimum of two options from their Balearic Brunch menu (options range from flat iron steak to bao and sushi) and add unlimited drinks for an additional cost of either £25 (standard) or £35 (premium). Standard drinks include prosecco, mimosa and bloody mary whilst premium takes invites you into breakfast or espresso martini territory. Saturdays and Sundays, 10am - 2pm.
Delhi House Café Unit 10, The Corn Exchange, Manchester M4 3TR
Some welcome multi-course bottomless action from Delhi House Café. Also some notably different drink options too. Choose from one starter, one main (fritters, rolls, burgers) and drinks including rose sangria, mango mimosa, Singapore sling as well as beer and fizz. 90 minutes for £31.95. Available all day every day.
Elnecot Cutting Room Square, 41 Blossom St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 6AJ
Picture the scene: you’re in Elnecot on a weekend and you’re tucking into a hearty shakshuka, the full English or a Grandad’s sausage sandwich on soft brioche. You get the feeling. A light switches on in your head. It’s time to go bottomless, you think. No problem. As long as you’re eating something with an asterisk next to it on the menu you can initiate two hours of bottomless drinks for £25 which opens up a world of prosecco, bloody mary, breakfast martinis and "Earl Greyhounds" which have gin and grapefruit in them. Saturdays 11am - 3pm, Sundays 11am - 12.30pm.
Foodwell Suite 2, Ground Floor, One New Bailey, Stanley St, Salford M3 5JL
Two options at Foodwell when it comes to bottomless brunch with a tongue in cheek good cop bad cop vibe. Good intentions (£25pp) includes one breakfast option from a list taking in classic eggs and avo as well as French toast fare, the good being unlimited fruit juice. Bad intentions (£35pp) meanwhile, is the same one breakfast option with unlimited prosecco, beer and single spirit mixers. Both 90 minutes. Available daily, 10am - 2pm.
Fress 62 Oldham St, Manchester M4 1LE
Notably cheaper bottomless upgrade at Fress. Order your breakfast goods from 9am until 4pm and make the drinks bottomless (top-ups must be the same drink) for £15 per person for 1.25 hours. Drinks include mimosa, house wine, house lager and prosecco. Daily 9 am - 4pm.
Gaucho 2A St Mary's St, Manchester M3 2LB
It’s called Electro Brunch and it costs £57.50 which might horrify or delight, depending on your disposition. For that price, you’re getting unlimited Aperol Spritz, Jack Daniels and lemonade and pornstar martinis as well as your staple fizz and a host of egg and toast options. Reservation required, max 90 minutes.
Impossible 36 Peter St, Manchester M2 5QR
One small plate and a side or a main with unlimited drinks for £30. Food ranges from burgers to salads and chicken skewers. Drinks are varied too, with lager, a range of spirits and mixers as well as your traditional bottomless staples.
KBOM Unit 9, 103 Oxford Rd, The hatch, Manchester M1 7ED
If you’re a fan of Portuguese food then KBOM’s Sunday bottomless brunch at Hatch should be up your alley. £26.95 per person gets you a starter and main and a free-flowing choice of beers (Super Bock or Sagres of course), sangria or caipirinhas. Sundays, 12.15 - 15.45pm.
La Bandera 2 Ridgefield, Manchester M2 6EQ
Lots of tapas to be had at La Bandera as part of its bottomless brunch offering which runs from 11am until 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Limitless Cava and beer on the booze front whilst the food is actually quite balanced and wholesome. For £32.50 (an extra £7 gets you cocktails) you get a sharing platter of meat and cheese as well as three tapas. Got to polish it off in 90 minutes as per but nice to have variety.
Manahatta 188-192 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3ND
Not to be mixed up with the venue’s "bottomless party" option, brunch with no bottom is served until 4pm. One brunch item and unlimited drinks including the usuals as well as multiple Spritz types including Aperol, apple and berry. £29.95 per person for 90 minutes. Worth noting they do a Christmas-themed one too.
Mary & Archie 200 Burton Rd, West Didsbury, Manchester M20 2LW
Running Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3pm, bottomless brunch at Mary & Archie in Didsbury includes one brunch item (substantial portions) and unlimited Shindigger lager, bloody Mary & Archie and Mimosa for £25. The 90-minute rule applies as always.
Ménagerie New Bailey, Ground One, New Bailey St, Salford M3 5JL
Bottomless brunch closer to its classic format. Two breakfast plates (or double up on one) and unlimited drinks - prosecco, mimosas, Kiki’s fruit punch and bloody Marys - for 90 minutes. £45 per person. Every day 12-4pm.
NAM Unit 2, 33 Blossom St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 6AJ
Another good option if you find yourself in need of bolting on bottomless drinks to a solid Vietnamese brunch. NAM in Ancoats offer bottomless drinks for 90 minutes for a mere £20 and this includes gin punch, bottles of Tiger beer, prosecco (of course) and even a make-your-own-sprit kit which includes syrups and liqueurs for sprucing up your standard-issue fizz. Weekends 12 - 4pm, last seating 2.30pm.
The Pen & Pencil Fourways House, 57 Hilton St, Manchester M1 2EJ
The monthly scheduling of Pen & Pencil’s last Saturday of the month £40 all-inclusive, free-flow bottomless brunch gives it a nice full moon party vibe, minus the sand and Day-Glo. Brunchers can expect eggs in varying guises as well as limitless prosecco, mimosa, Amstel, bloody Mary and the brunch cocktail special.
Tampopo Corn Exchange, Exchange Square, Manchester M4 3TR
A new one this. Every day has the potential to be bottomless brunch day at Tampopo (well Monday to Friday 12-5pm, last booking 3.30pm) with two options available. £34.95 per person gets you any two courses from the menu and 90 minutes of free-flowing drinks for 90 minutes whilst £37.95 gets you the same with an extra course. Prosecco, Tiger beer and Sangsom rum as well as apple and elderflower lemonade as a non-alcoholic option.
Ramona 40 Swan St, Manchester M4 5JG
Detroit pizza and bottomless drinks for 90 minutes. That’s what. One slice of pizza, unlimited bevs. £27 per person. Weekends only, 11am-4pm.
Riva 4 Cecil Rd, Hale, Altrincham WA15 9PA
A modern British bistro bottomless looks like this: one brunch menu item (fish finger sandwich on sourdough we’re looking at you) and the choice of unlimited Amstel, fizz, mimosa, passionfruit martini or Aperol spritz. £29.50 per person, 11am-1pm.
Victors 169 Ashley Rd, Hale, Altrincham WA15 9SD
If you like bottomless brunch under bright synthetic hanging foliage (who doesn’t?), consider the Victors bottomless offering. Available every weekend until 3pm for £30 it offers a paired back mixture of breakfast and lunch options with endless house gin and vodka, bottled beer, prosecco, beer and selected cocktails.
The Woodstock Arms 139 Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M20 2DY
One brunch dish, as is tradition, including their full English and 90 minutes of unlimited Camden pale ale, bloody marys and prosecco. Worth noting no walk-ins, pre-booking only. £25 per person. Saturdays, 12 - 5pm.
WowYauChow 59 Stamford New Rd, Altrincham WA14 1DS
Bottomless lunch and tea on offer at WowYauChow, Manchester’s first bottomless Chinese brunch, so take your pick. For lunch, you’ve got three options: bottomless food only (£23), a lunch basket and bottomless drinks (£28) and bottomless food and drink (£33). For tea, it’s bottomless food (£25) and bottomless everything (£35). Drinks range from Tsing Tao beer to cocktails and wine, whilst the food takes in the full spectrum of small plates, small mains and bao buns that make up the standard WowYauChow menu.
