Yet another new restaurant for Manchester's former industrial heartland
Confidential has come across plans to open a new Chinese restaurant in Ancoats.
A licence application has been submitted for a spot in the Nuovo building on Jersey Street, in the same block as Viet Shack, Kettlebell Kitchen and Cha-ology.
The application is for Blue Eyed Panda - a Chinese restaurant with approximately 55 covers comprised of a dining area, lounge area and a small bar.
The directors of the company are Carolina Ho Choy, of The Ancoats Panda ("the best Chinese takeaway in Manchester") over the road, and Jonathan Pye - a director at BDP architects located on nearby Ducie Street.
The new restaurant will be the latest in a string of new openings for Manchester's former industrial heartland - which is fast establishing itself as the centre of the city's new restaurant scene.
Confidential can confirm that this Blue Eyed Panda has absolutely nothing to do with Blue Eyed Panda video production service in South Carolina, or with this one...
