CONFIDENTIAL PROMOTION

IF you like your food healthy, tasty and as fresh as Pho, then there's a new opening in The Corn Exchange that should get you slurping in anticipation.

The Walls are no flash-in-the-pan chancers – they really know their noodles

When Juliette and Stephen Wall first opened Pho in London in 2005, it was London's first Vietnamese street food restaurant.

Since then, street food has taken over the culinary world, stomping around like a foodie Godzilla, but the Walls are no flash-in-the-pan chancers – they really know their noodles. Pho was opened as a testament to their love of Vietnamese food, kindled whilst travelling around the country.

Ten years later, Pho has spread its wholesome brothy charms around the UK but it remains a family business dedicated to placing pho, Vietnam's national dish, on the pedestal it deserves. And now, Manchester is in line for some authentically-prepared noodly action.

Everything is made fresh, from scratch, in the restaurant each day and many of the dishes are gluten free. Pho is uplifting bowl food which is low on calories and high on feel-good factor – perfect for avoiding the post-lunch slump.

Crispy, colourful Vietnamese salads, bun noodles, fragrant curries and summer rolls all jostle for space on a light, bright menu that looks good, tastes good and does good. Top-notch cocktails including their signature Phojito, imported beers such as Beer Lao, Halida and Saigon make Pho a real draw at any time.

Everything draws you in, tempts you to slurp, dip, share and season everything as you see fit. Sprinkle on some herbs then add chilli paste for a kick or fish sauce for a salty bite then get stuck in.
