What do women want? Dessert. What do men want? Curry. Lots of it. Who said that romance is never simple?

This Valentine's Day, don't wear yourself out with elaborate plans and big statements. Instead, opt for a dinner out that you know you'll both thoroughly enjoy. At Zouk, the smart, stylish Indian restaurant just off Oxford Road, they're doing a Valentine's Feast for two for just £25 per head. And it looks like it'll be food heaven from start to end.
You'll begin with an Indian take on a classic aphrodisiac: oyster pakoras. Apparently, presenting the slithery shellfish in a light, spicy batter enhances rather than diminishes the experience. They're served with apple and coriander and should be an eye-opening start to your feast.
Next you'll be brought a sharing platter of Indian starters – marinated and char grilled king prawns, chicken kebabs with crushed cashew nuts and ground rose petals, and tender slices of spiced lamb fillet.
The mains are three, authentic curries which will showcase why Zouk is a regular winner at the national Curry Awards. They include a vegetable bindi, a chicken dish 'Dum Ka Murgh', and a lamb dish with spinach, black cardamons, spices, and cinnamon (another aphrodisiac, just in case the effects of the oysters are waning).
Finally, it's dessert time. A sharing plate of gooey bannoffee pie will end the meal on a chocolatey, caramel high.
After that, you have the option of relaxing in Zouk's heated, outdoor shisha lounge where they offer four different types of Egyptian tobacco. Tell your date you want to share a hookah with her as a Valentine's treat. What could possibly go wrong?
Shisha or not, your night out at Zouk is going to be hot, spicy, exotic and all those other Valentine's innuendos. It'll also be damn tasty so if you and your partner love Indian food, why not book in? The full feast is just £25 each.
