If you’re looking for a place to dine out for less with the kids this summer, these two neighbourhood gastropubs have got you covered. This summer, both The Black Friar and Horse and Jockey are running a Kids Eat Free offer throughout the school holidays.
Set within a beautifully restored pub with an award winning garden, The Black Friar in Salford is a relaxed destination serving up pub classics in a family friendly setting. Kids options include an English hotdog with fries and a chicken and halloumi wrap with fries.
Over in Chorlton, Horse and Jockey, a traditional pub which has been lovingly restored by the same team, offers a welcoming space with plenty of outdoor seating. With Chorlton Green just on the doorstep, it’s ideal for long summer afternoons with little ones. The seasonal menu features pub favourites, alongside a dedicated kids’ selection including sausages and mash, beef burgers, chicken goujons, and cheese and tomato pizza – all freshly prepared in-house.
