WE LOVE Tariff & Dale. The Confidential team all have their particular favourites on the menu but we all agree that Tariff & Dale is a great place for a tasty bite to eat.

Other purveyors of the sausage roll should just give up and go home

Here are our top picks:

Sharing Boards

The sharing board can be something light or a real feast – it’s up to you. Choose three items for £12 or five items for £17. Kell is nuts about the air-dried ham and the  cave-aged blue cheese in particular whilst the creamy potato salad is a real office favourite. It goes with anything. And everything. We love it best paired with the smoked salmon.

Sausage Rolls

Everyone knows about the sausage rolls at Tariff & Dale. Their fame is well-deserved however because these take the humble pastry confection to a whole new level. They’re all lovely – even fusspot Gordo agrees. However the standout sausage roll according to Emma is the lamb and rosemary. Smeared with the home-made curious porter ketchup, it means other purveyors of the sausage roll should just give up and go home. It could be the best £6.50 you’ve ever spent.

Sourdough Pizzas

Served fresh from the wood-fired pizza oven, these beauties are light, crisp and groaning with all your favourite toppings. In all, everything you could want from a pizza. There are plenty of options to choose from but Vicky reckons the beef, Lancashire blue and red onion just about comes out on top.
