East of Heysham marks an exciting collaboration between Lancaster writer Philip Martin and Lass Productions. Martin has had an extensive television career and the East of Heysham production certainly lives up to expectations. The performance details one fateful night in the company of Morecambe’s enthusiastic but dwindling James Dean Memorial Society. In the lonely confines of a northern village hall, the glamour of the silver screen and realities of modern life collide.

Forming part of the Manchester International Festival, wonder.land is a brand new musical inspired by the childhood classic Alice in Wonderland. In this version of the fantasy land you can be anyone you want to be – however be prepared to be shocked and scared. The production is directed by National Theatre’s incoming director Rufus Norris, featuring music by Damon Albarn.
