PAOLO NUTINI | Phones 4U Arena | Thursday 6 November
Coming off the back of another hugely successful number one album, Caustic Love, the unmistakably gravel-voiced Scottish soul singer will be back with his ten-piece band and a hit packed set including new smash-hit Ironsky and old-faves Pencil Full Of Lead and New Shoes.
JAMIE T | Manchester Academy | Friday 7 & Monday 17 November
After five years on the sidelines, Jamie Treays has finally made his hugely anticipated comeback with critically acclaimed album Carry On The Grudge. Now the Wimbledon wordsmith will take to the Academy stage for a double-header this November to prove why the anticipation was so warranted.
THE SPECIALS | O2 Apollo | Tuesday 11 November
A pioneering band of the ska scene. Despite a series of line-up changes since their formation in 1977 the Special's legacy is still going strong. The group will be joined by renowned punk duo Sleaford Mods in what should be a bouncing night at the Apollo.
THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM | O2 Apollo | Monday 17 & Tuesday 18 November
Back with a 'new sound' (always risky business), this once American punk(ish) band have mostly slowed down and veered towards safety rock. Still, they're capable of thrashing out a number or two when it comes down to the nitty gritty.

CARL BARAT & THE JACKALS | Sound Control | Wednesday 19 November
Fresh from a trio of triumphant sold out comeback shows at London's Ally Pally with The Libertines, Barat is set to change pace slightly with his new band as they set out on a series of intimate club shows. A great chance to catch a genuine indie big gun in a smaller venue.
THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN | Manchester Academy | Saturday 22 November
Alternative rock fans rejoiced when brothers Jim and William Reid decided to reform the iconic Scottish group of the 80s and 90s. This tour will see the band perform their landmark debut album Pshychocandy in full for its thirtieth anniversary.

THE WHISKY SESSIONS | Victoria Warehouse | Friday 21 & Saturday 22 November
A celebration of live music and whisky, what's not to love (unless you dislike whisky, in which case you're still halfway there)? The Victoria Warehouse plays host to the first installment of the festival featuring performances from I Am Kloot, Gomez, Badly Drawn Boy and Little Comets.
LINKIN PARK | Phones 4U Arena | Saturday 22 November
Nu metal mammoths Linkin Park were one of few bands that came out heads above water after the alt rock surge of the new millenium. They returned this summer with a new record, The Hunting Party, and a barnstorming set at this year's Download Festival in Leicestershire. Still one of the most bankable live acts around.
BEANS ON TOAST | The Ruby Lounge | Thursday 27 November
Jay McAllister AKA Beans on Toast trades in folk that is sometimes stark, sometimes jolly, but always witty and mostly pished. Exploring the soul of Middle England, McAllister sings politics, drinking, drugs, smoking, recessions, petrol, Prince Harry and a few things in between.
SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS | Phones 4U Arena | Friday 28 November
One of the most recognisable figures in rock history thanks to a top hat and wild hair, British-born Slash is a pretty nifty riffmaster too. New album, World On Fire, is the second with his new band, and at nearly 50-years-old the former Guns'n'Roses hellraiser and Velvet Revolver shows no signs of slowing down.
