Success is, quite literally, handed to them on a plate
Head chef Ben Mounsey only came to Grafene a few months ago and already he’s made quite the impact on Manchester’s dining scene with his innovative British tapas and a menu that is full of surprises.
Now the move towards inventive yet informal fine dining has paid off; the restaurant has received two AA rosettes for the first time. In fact, the award plates were dished out last week.
Grafene is going from strength to strength, using only the finest local and British ingredients to create complex dishes which have a pleasing simplicity.
Commenting on the award, Mounsey explained: “Being presented with the two AA Rosettes so soon after joining Grafene is not something I take for granted. It’s a tribute to the whole team, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that my creative vision is executed perfectly in every dish we serve. It’s been a fantastic two months and, as we are already underway with testing our new summer dishes, more exciting food is to come.”
British tapas is available all week from midday – 3pm and from 5pm – 6.30pm. The dinner menu is available from 6.30pm.
