The Manchester College’s first open event for 2016 will be held on Saturday 12 March. Open events give you the chance to find out about the wide range of academic and work-related courses on offer - A levels, degree level courses, vocational courses, professional qualifications and a huge range of apprenticeships at all levels.

The open event will give you the opportunity to look around The Manchester College's facilities, which are some of the best in the country - custom-built automotive workshops, industry-standard training restaurants and hair and beauty salons, high tech recording studios, media suites and great live performance venues, state of the art computer and science labs, an established Sports Academy and sports facilities. You will also get the opportunity to meet the friendly and experienced tutors.

Whatever your age, interests or educational background, The Manchester College has something to suit your needs and the open event is the perfect place to find out more. Subject areas include automotive, business, childcare, computing, construction, creative and digital, design and visual arts, engineering, fashion, film and TV production, hair and beauty, health and social care, hospitality and catering, management, media, media make-up, performing arts, sport and exercise, and travel and tourism.

If you are a school leaver looking for your next step, The Manchester College has a wide and varied choice of academic and vocational courses at their campuses across the city to help you on your path to success. You could study for your GCSEs, A levels, or BTEC diplomas, join one of the Prince’s Trust programmes or take advantage of an employability course.

Over 19 and looking to improve your knowledge, change your career or simply gain a new skill? There's a fantastic range of high quality adult courses to help you turn your dreams into a reality. There are several ways you can fund your course if you’re over 19. You may be eligible for a funding loan for further education, there are also payment options available if you are looking to pay the course fees yourself, or you can ask your employer to pay your course fees. Trained advisors will be on hand to talk about the options that are available.

Looking to study on a university-level course? The Manchester College has over ninety Higher Nationals, foundation degrees and honours degrees, taught by tutors who are experienced industry professionals. The courses are designed with employers in mind to get you ready for a career in your chosen field and offer real-world work experience opportunities. There are state-of-the-art facilities including film studios and Mac suites, as well as smaller class sizes for more one-to-one support.

Have you considered an apprenticeship? An apprenticeship is a job with extra benefits. You can achieve nationally-recognised qualifications and earn a wage whilst gaining the skills that employers want. You are learning through hands on experience and will receive fantastic support from our assessors.
