THE New World Pub Company has decided to situate their second venture after the run away success of the Oast House in Alderley Edge.
The Oast House in Manchester has established a very strong following in a short space of time so I’m confident we will achieve the same with The Botanist
This is because of the village absence of a ‘proper pub.’ Although there are already a number of eateries and bars, The Botanist will cater for those wanting a nice relaxing drink and bite to eat in a comfy pub environment.
The pub will be located in the same spot as the previously fashionable but presently defunct Number 15 Wine Bar, which closed in 2009. The New World Pub Company are hoping that they can emulate the success of its illustrious predecessor - with presumably less fake tan.
Due to open in summer, The Botanist will also be a mixture of old and new and will have the 'feel' as its city centre counterpart.

In addition to a well-stocked cellar of cask-conditioned ales, The Botanist will have around 50 bottled beers and ciders from around the world and a selection of the finest Champagnes (de rigeur in shy Alderley) plus wines and spirits.
There’ll also be a deli-style smokehouse menu with rotisserie and external barbecue for al-fresco dining, whatever the weather.
