TAPEO And Wine launched on Thursday 12 May with a celebration of great-tasting Spanish foods and an array of traditional Spanish wines and beers provided by Estrella Galicia, Spain's largest independent brewery.

Spain and Manchester United footballer Juan Mata took part in the festivities alongside friends and family including: Marcelino Elena, Bojan Krkic, Marc Muniesa, Joselu, Ander Herrera, David de Gea, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind.

The restaurant at 209 Deansgate is a homage to the cuisine and tapas of Spain as well as its hospitality and warmth. It is owned by Nacho Perez and Natalia Esquerdo and supported by Juan Mata and his father, Juan Manuel Mata Rodriguez.
Feeling that there was a need for premium Spanish food in the Manchester, the duo teamed up with Perez and Esquerdo to bring in the finest ingredients and products.
At the launch, Juan Mata explained: 'I'm really excited about the launch of Tapeo And Wine. There's great Spanish food, drinks and a fantastic atmosphere. I can't wait for the people of Manchester to come down and try it.'
