The event is on Tuesday 17 November at 6.30pm and costs £60 per person. Small class sizes are the way to go so make sure you get in early to book your spot because places are very limited.
Try and turn up on the dot because a cow is whole load of carcass to carve up and we don't want to spoil your enjoyment of this beautiful animal by rushing you along.
There will be prosecco on arrival followed by bread, olives and a Black House sharing platter. It's a chance to chat and get to know the other meat fiends on your table as everyone is seated in groups of six.
Then our star butcher from Fairfax Meadow will get to work. What is quite literally half a cow will be placed across a board - a very large board - and taken apart to show where each cut comes from and how it is cut. You'll also find out the best ways to cook fillet, ribeye, sirloin and rump.
Steak and wine are a classic combination so our sommelier will take over and explain which wines are best to accompany each different cut.
Afterwards, you'll have a chance to taste each different cut with the three different steaks served all sliced up to share and accompanied by matching wines. Each guest will receive 400g of meat from each cut and each steak will be served separately so you can enjoy them freshly cooked, rested and at their very best.
