THE Easter holidays are coming. If you’re stuck for something to do with the kids, Sea Life at the Trafford Centre is a great all-weather option.
It’s a real celebration of the sea with more fascinating sea creatures than you can shake a barnacle-encrusted stick at. There’s everything from seahorses to sharks, from stingrays to Ernie the sea turtle, and now, to top it all off, there’s a brand new area devoted to the starfish.
With giant windows and a climb-though tunnel, both adults and kids alike can enjoy some really tentacle-tastic views. Any closer and you’d be soaking wet.
The Giant Pink Starfish is, as its name suggests, no tiddler either, and the pin cushion star is something else again. Not star-shaped at all, it looks like a gooey blob. Just the sort of thing kids love.
It’s an educational experience with a whole host of bizarre facts but it’s so much fun that it doesn’t seem like learning at all.
Sea Life Manchester is a real hands-on attraction with feeding shows and the Interactive Rockpool Experience where you can, quite literally, get your hands on a crab.
If you really want to get up close and personal with the rays, sharks and hundreds of vibrant tropical fish, why not take a *SeaTREK®? (*additional charge applies)
You don’t need to be a trained diver and, with the special ‘breathe-easy’ helmet, you won’t even get your hair wet.
It’s a chance to walk along the sea bed whilst hundreds of fish swim past. You can even make friends with Ernie, the resident giant green sea turtle.
It’s certainly a memorable experience and one that Confidential’s David Blake enjoyed. Read all about his experience here.
A day out at Sea Life Manchester beats sitting on the sofa hands down. Why waste the day lazing in bed when you could be exploring the sea bed?
Right now you could save 30%, with tickets from only £9.95 when you book online.
